I've done a lot of loans throughout Santa Monica, California during the last twenty years. In fact, I'd like to think that I helped increase the property values in Ocean Park, located right above Main Street and Ocean Park Blvd. Back in the day, Ocean Park was a small beach community but I got a bunch of loans through when I worked at Home Savings of Amercia that helped established a higher value for the neighborhood. I've also helped lots of borrowers with loans along Montana, Sunset Park or in the heart of Santa Monica. My kids went to school at Will Rogers Elementary in Santa Monica and now go to school at S.M.A.S.H. on the campus of John Muir in Santa Monica. Our family loves to hang out at the Santa Monica Pier or the Santa Monica Promenade.
I used to love to eat at Gaucho Grill on the Santa Monica Promenade before they closed down. I also liked the Indian food court place at the Santa Monica Mall but since they started construction things are going to look a lot different. My family likes Wahoos Fish Tacos on Wilshire. What's great about Santa Monica is you have these very different areas. Montana Blvd is home to some incredible shops and upscale restaurants. Montana Cafe is a great place for lunch. Main Street is also very unique with a very hip Farmers Market on the weekends or great shopping and restaurants anytime. Up near the border of Santa Monica and Los Angeles on Ocean Park is a beautiful park and Mrs. Winston's Grocery. I love making fresh sandwiches or salads there. And of course the Promonade is the place to be, especially on the weekends for shopping, food and live street entertainment.
