You say the name Beverly Hills, Calfornia and you immediately think of the richest and most lavish homes in the world. You also think of the super rich and famous. Yes, it's true that many movie stars live in Beverly Hills but it's also a great family community. It has it's own municipality including their own police force (Beverly Hills Cops) and is still a major tourist attraction, especially the shops around Rodeo Drive. The Beverly Hills Hilton hotel on Sunset is a great place to visit, just to walk through the grounds, eat at the famous Polo Lounge or rent a bungaloo for a weekend visit (if you can afford the price tag). In the prime shopping area of Bevelry Hills you can find those pricey shops and restaurants but there are also some affordable places. Jacopo's pizza is awesome and receeding hairline looked and figured if those guys could look better than so could I. one of the truly first great pizza places. I used to get my haircuts from the barber at the Beverly Hills Hotel on Wilshire/Santa Monica. I went there because I read in Playboy Magazine that the barber cut both Jack Nicolsen and Bruce WIllis hair and helped them when their hair lines were receeding. I started to have that But the Hills are not the only place where beautiful homes can be found. The "flats" of Bevelry Hills are just as nice. There is a great area off Beverly Drive between Olympic Blvd. and Wilshire Blvd. that has affordable restaurants and coffee shops.
Down on Olympic near Doheny is my favorite restaurant in all of Los Angeles. Crazy Fish. It's a Sushi place where they give you huge portions at a very affordable price. It's a small place so I hesitate to promote their business any more and cause my wait time to increase, but I have to give them their props.
I worked as a loan agent at American Savings Bank on Doheny and Wilshire in the branch for many years. I was the branch loan agent and I helped many local residents with their loans. I'd eat lunch across the street at Kate Mantinella's. Pricey but very good. I love the Chili.
